Buckwheat belongs to a group of foods commonly called pseudocereals because it is actually a fruit seed which is also known as “Kutta ka atta” in India.During Navratri festival,when people stay away from cereals grains such as wheat and rice, then Buckwheat has a significant appearance.In India, we have Kuttu ki Puri?orKuttu Pakoras; in Japan and Korea, it is commonly used to make noodles likesoba?andguksu; and the Russians use it to make a breakfast favourite called?blini, which is similar to crepes and usually topped with fraiche, smoked salmon or roe, and garnished with a sprig of dill. The Europeans also use it to make pancakes, crepes and breads.
