Chopped onions: No more peeling, cutting and tears! Soak dried onions in warm water for 5 minutes or so. Drain excess water (do not throw) and proceed with the recipe as usual. Onion powder:Slightly roast onions in a hot pan for 5 to 10 seconds. Once cooled, grind it to a fine powder and store in an airtight container. Add the Onion powder directly to vegetables or gravies followed by water, as desired. Since, it is pre-roasted you need not fry it in oil. This helps in reduced oil intake. 10g of onion powder would roughly provide gravy worth 100g of grinded fresh onions
