Peore prefilter housing is made of high quality food grade PVC Material having weight 450 grams. This pre-filter comes with high quality 10″ PP Spun filter cartridge/candle, two 1/4 inches push-fit elbows, 3 metres pipe and teflon tape. The Pre-filter is designed to handle high pressures of upto 150 PSI and is suitable for most apartments in high-rise buildings. We still recommend using a pressure regulating valve in case your supply water pressure is higher than 150 PSI. PP Spun filter is used to capture dust, dirt, rust and other large impurities floating in water. Our spun filters are designed to have a longer life with its triple layered design having a pore size of 20, 10 and 5 microns. The outer most layer is more porous catching larger particles while the innermost layer has finer pores catching fine particles. It is important for the overall health of your water purifier to use a very high quality pre-filter as a malfunctioning pre-filter can choke the membrane and other inline filters. As per WHO, water having TDS (dissolved minerals) between 100 ppm to 300 ppm is considered excellent for drinking purposes. The ideal range of TDS for drinking water is 150 ppm to 250 ppm but most ROs fail to maintain that especially in households which gets water at municipality water (TDS < 1000) . Therefore, it is strongly recommended to use water purifier according to the raw water hardness (TDS) instead of using TDS adjuster that allows impurities back in the drinking water.
